WHAT IS A GUARDIAN HOME?
Guardian Home (GH) is a local family or individual who agrees to raise one of our puppies in their home while we retain breeding rights. That means you bring home a puppy and that is your forever companion. We retain the right to use the dog in our program. We pay to have the dog fixed once their are no longer apart of our program.
WHY DO YOU NEED GUARDIAN HOMES?
We can only responsibly care for a small number of dogs in our home. By using GH's it allows us to place a dog into a forever home yet still provide everyone with healthy happy puppies. We are not commercial or kennel breeders so we do not have a building where our dogs live and being a member of a family is very important to us.
WHAT IS THE REQUIREMENTS?
1. Located within 2 hours from Naples, FL
2. Fenced yard.
3. No other intact dogs.
4. Own your home/resident.
5. Time and Love to give.
WHAT DOES THIS COST?
You are not charged a fee. You are required to sign a contract agreeing to our terms of care.
You are responsible for normal up keep including grooming, vet care and training.
We cover all costs related to health testing and breeding.
DO I GET PAID TO BE A GH?
We do offer our GH's funding when a Mom or Dad's litter goes home. You should not look at this as a form of income but as a thank you for providing such a wonderful loving home to one of our puppies.

DO I PICK A MALE OR FEMALE?
It depends on your situation. Remember this dog will be intact in your home.
A. Female dogs will have a heat cycle that lasts 7-18 days. During this time families typically place undies with a pad on their females which they change regularly. Having a female also means she will come to our home for 1.5-2 months to help her litter. Many families use this time to take a vacation. Females typically have 2-4 litters and then we pay for them to be fixed.
B. Males can lift their legs when they become sexually mature. It is less commo when you do not have other intact dogs in the home or you correct the behavior right away but it can happen. Our males only lift their legs when a female is in active heat in our home otherwise they pee only outside. With a male we typically can meet with you and collect or pick him up for a few hours to 1-4 days for breeding's. Males are fixed anywhere from 4-6 years of age.
